Minnesota says goodbye to Twins player Michael Cuddyer as he goes to the Rockies

It's a sad day for Minnesota Twins fans of Michael Cuddyer. It seems that now that (former) Twins player Michael Cuddyer has his own Twins, he doesn't need the Minnesota Twins anymore. His twin daughters were born on December 6, 2011, and on December 16, 2011, it was confirmed that Michael Cuddyer and the Colorado Rockies have agreed to a deal.

The Rockies Cuddyer deal is said to be worth about $31 million for a three-year free agent deal. Cuddyer has played on the Minnesota Twins team for his whole MLB career. He is a fan favorite, and very involved in the community. Michael Cuddyer was a first round draft pick in 1997. It's sad to see him go, but I wish him the best and would love to see him go on and get a ring for himself.

I long for the days when players would stay on one team for their whole career, it's hard to watch your favorites leave.

Now that the NBA Finals are done with it, there really is nothing else to do but watch baseball. With Justin Morneau, Delmon Young, Denard Span, and Kevin Slowey on the disabled list, we're getting a chance to watch a ton of young players blossom before our eyes. More specifically, we have been watching Ben Revere blossom before our eyes. The idea of him and Span batting first and second on a team is really exciting. They both have the ability to hit for a high average and both have very good eyes at the plate, Span especially. Defensively that will be very exciting as well since both players cover a ton of ground in the outfield. It should be better for the team as well since Delmon Young was not playing well anyways so might as well plug two guys into the lineup who can hit .300 and steal bases.

The event was moved to Blaine after the Metrodome's roof collapsed in Minneapolis. That didn't change any fans desires to attend the event. In fact, the team says that it has sold out the team's annual festival after capping the number of tickets at 25,000 because of the venue change. The team says it has never limited the number of tickets to TwinsFest before, but was compelled to do so because of the move to the Sports Center.

The weather in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area is sub-par at best, but that hasn't stopped my mind from wandering to the cool 55 degree weather that is associated with Minnesota Twins baseball at Target Field in April.

In fact, if I weren't thinking about the upcoming, no matter how distant, season change, I may need to pack up my things and abandon the Minnesota tundra all together. But, no worries... I love the Minnesota Twins and would bear these sub-zero temperatures for them any day of the average-temperature-is-negative-fifteen week.

I haven't decided which series the Twins will be a part of that I am most excited for. There is the standard Yankee-Twins match-up that always gets fans stirring, but until we beat those guys post-season, a win in the regular season will do very little for our World Series aspirations. Fans need to be thinking more long-term. Of course there are the Boston Red Sox who have picked up several key players in recent winter meetings. The Twins will be playing at Fenway Park in Boston May 6-9 -- those games would definitely be something to consider if you are heading out east in the spring. I went to the Twins Braves game yesterday afternoon (June 13) and spent $35 a ticket for a ticket in the 200 level. That's not too bad, but I think Twins ticket prices were lower since the threat of rain was looming. It seems the weather is a big factor in Twins ticket prices. If the weather is warm and sunny, Twins ticket demand goes way up and so do the prices on the secondary market.

I see the Twins Rockies series (June 15-17) is starting at about $40 a ticket which is pretty reasonable considering the Colorado Rockies are kind of a big deal in Minnesota and we rarely play them. I love inter-league baseball match-ups and I am willing to pay a little extra to see a team I hardly ever see play in Minnesota plus make their first visit to Target Field.

The Twins Tigers series (June 28-30) is one of the most popular mid-week series of the year. Ticket brokers like Ticket King have very few tickets remaining and prices are higher than other non-weekend games. Remember, the Detroit Tigers will be back at Target Field August 31 through September 2nd...although I doubt Twins ticket prices will be any lower.

I know that Minnesota Twins Tickets are pretty pricey for the Twins Exhibition Game and the 2010 inaugural Home Opener at Target Field. It's time to start thinking about Twins Home Series again (I know, where did the winter go?). One of the first Home Series for the Minnesota Twins is the Twins-Royals Series April 16th-April 18th. The Twins-Royals series is always a fan favorite due to the relative proximity of Kansas City and Minneapolis. However, due to the new Target Field and outdoor baseball and the variability of Twin Cities weather in April, the first Twins-Royals series has lots of cheap tickets left.

I found Twins Tickets starting at $15 for the 4/16-4/18 games. Be forewarned however, that if the weather ends up being nice during the series, the Cheap Twins Tickets will be scooped up fast. I had you worried didn't I? It is true, with the loss last Sunday to the New York Yankees, the Minnesota Twins Tickets Market has been put on hold. Single game tickets for next season at Target Field will not be released until much closer to the 2010 Minnesota Twins Season Opener.

Most people would agree that Minnesota does not top the list of Professional Sports Meccas... in fact, for most people we probably don't even make the list. However, the past week has been some of the best displays of Minnesotan Pro-Sports in a LONG time.

1) The Vikings spanked the Green Bay Packers
2) The Minnesota Wild are having a pretty decent pre-season and critics are saying that tonight's home opener should be a good one
and 3) the Minnesota Twins are playing for the AL Central Division Title in just a few short hours!

That's right sports fans, the Minnesota Twins did it... they are a game away from the postseason and demand for Twins Tickets has NEVER been higher (well maybe not never, but certainly in a while!!) I for one really thought that the Twin Cities sports fans would be fairly split between the Wild and the Twinkies, but people have decided that with a full season ahead for the MN Wild, Minnesota Twins Tickets are the hottest buy in town. Goodbye HHH Metrodome, Hello Target Field

The Twins played their last home game at the HHH Metrodome yesterday and there was a bittersweet excitement that filled the Metrodome. Although the Twins had a great season it was sad to see it go. And even though the new Target Field is going to be great, it will be hard to step inside and not miss the Metrodome just a little.

However after watching the video below of Target Field, the new home of the Minnesota Twins I think that it is time to say "thanks for the memories but I'm moving on up"... watch the video and start to get excited, the 2010 Twins season is only half a year away!

Minnesota Twins vs. Kansas City Royals

The Day is finally here... the LAST HOME SERIES AT THE HHH METRODOME. The Minnesota Twins take on the Kansas City Royals starting tomorrow at 7:10 p.m. and then in 3 short days Twins Tickets will no longer say HHH Metrodome on them, and I for one am going to be a little lost without that.

As you can imagine, Twins-Royals Tickets are very hard to come by but can be found if you are willing to do the footwork. I found tickets online at Ticket King but my guess is that they will go fast. With the last 3 Twins games ever to be played at the Metrodome, Twins fans will be out in mass to say goodbye to the long-time home of our beloved team. My guess is that if you buy seats near the 1st baseline you will most likely be rubbing elbows with former twins and a veritable who's who of the Twin Cities. However these 1st baseline Twins Tickets are going to be extremely hard to get your hands on, so if you are holding on to any extra wishes, chances or lucky pennies it is time to get them out and start praying!

I've been writing about it all summer and yet somehow it seemed like more of a reality in June than it does now. The Minnesota Twins are just two road series (6 days) away from returning home and starting the last Home Series at the Metrodome they will ever play.

As you can imagine, mostly because I've been telling you all summer, Minnesota Twins Tickets are hard to come by right now. I've done some looking and have found great deals on local ticket brokerage websites, Ticket King has Minnesota Twins Tickets listed for as cheap as $25 bucks and ranging in the $100 plus area for the some of the best seats in the Dome. You can be sure though that these "cheap seats" will not last until next weekend when the games are, if you plan on saying goodbye to the Metrodome along side the Minnesota Twins I suggest as soon as you are done reading this sentence you find tickets online and purchase.

I was looking at Twins-Tigers Tickets earlier and there were still some seats online on the 1st base line and in general admission, but if these seats are even still left the prices are sure to start going up.

It is down to the final countdown of home series left in the Metrodome of the Minnesota Twins and Twins Tickets are going faster than ever because of it! The Twins take on the Cleveland Indians in a 3 game series starting Monday September 14th.

I couldn't remeber if I had Indians-Twins Tickets the last time the Cleveland Indians were here so I did some looking to try and jog my memory... I went to MinnesotaTwinsFan.blogspot.com to read a game review and was reminded why I "couldn't remember" I had blocked out the last Indians-Twins series, although we did win 2 of the 3 games, the Twins had one of their ugliest losses a 1-10 whopper in the 2nd game of the series, I don't think I even went to the 3rd game.

This time around if I can get my hands on Twins-Indians Tickets there is no way that I will be skipping the game there are only 2 more home series left at the HHH Metrodome and I for one want to be at both. The Minnesota Twins take on the Oakland A's later this week and Twins Fans across the Cities are holding their breath. The last time the two teams faced-off in July the Oakland A's swept the Twins all 3 games and Twins fans couldn't give their A's Tickets away fast enough...

With the Twins now playing their last few games at the Metrodome, fans are hopeful that the last bits of Metrodome Magic will come out of the rafters and help the Twins take the A's this time around. The Team that makes the Minnesota Twins look great is back in town. The Minnesota Twins take on the Chicago White Sox August 31-September 2. Twins-White Sox Tickets are already on sale and are going fast.

Twins-White Sox Tickets are always big sellers because of the proximity of Chicago to Minneapolis and the unspoken competition to be the "best big city" in the midwest. I think that Chicago White Sox and non-Twin Cities Twins fans will make this 3 game series a end of summer mini-vacation. I'm guessing that these out of towners will buy Sox-Twins tickets for all 3 games and then explore the cities in between games, hitting up hot spots like Tsunami Sushi and Salut.

The Minnesota Twins start a 3-game series with the Baltimore Orioles Monday, August 24th.
