2011 Minnesota Twins - New York Rangers Series

Minnesota Twins and Texas RangersThe Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers were winners of their respective divisions in the American League in the 2009-2010 season. The Twins were eliminated by the New York Yankees in the ALDS while the Texas Rangers advanced all the way to the World Series before losing to the San Francisco Giants. In the 2011 season, the Texas Rangers will be visiting Target Field from Thursday, June 9 to Sunday, June 12. The tickets for that series will go quickly as both are expected to once again compete for the World Series. Purchase your Minnesota Twins tickets with Ticket King!

Minnesota Twins 2011 Season: Top Series Picks White Sox

Another 2011 Minnesota Twins series I am looking forward is the June 14-16 series when the Chicago White Sox are at Target Field. The Twins White Sox rivalry always makes for a fun time at the ball park sharing a beer with your buddies. Chicago won't be in Minneapolis until mid-June and, at this time, the weather is gorgeous and the rivalry's staring to heat up as the division standings start to separate the winners from the losers. This is a MUST BUY Twins Ticket and all real baseball fans will be at Target Field.

I am interested to know which series you are most looking forward to in 2011. I will most likely be getting tickets to the Athletics, Yankees and White Sox games, but what games are you buying for? Let me know!

Minnesota Twins 2011 Season: Top Series Picks

The weather in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area is sub-par at best, but that hasn't stopped my mind from wandering to the cool 55 degree weather that is associated with Minnesota Twins baseball at Target Field in April.

In fact, if I weren't thinking about the upcoming, no matter how distant, season change, I may need to pack up my things and abandon the Minnesota tundra all together. But, no worries... I love the Minnesota Twins and would bear these sub-zero temperatures for them any day of the average-temperature-is-negative-fifteen week.

I haven't decided which series the Twins will be a part of that I am most excited for. There is the standard Yankee-Twins match-up that always gets fans stirring, but until we beat those guys post-season, a win in the regular season will do very little for our World Series aspirations. Fans need to be thinking more long-term. Of course there are the Boston Red Sox who have picked up several key players in recent winter meetings. The Twins will be playing at Fenway Park in Boston May 6-9 -- those games would definitely be something to consider if you are heading out east in the spring. Boston Red Sox Tickets can be found on local sites like Ticket King if you need them.

Of course the opening Twins series against the Oakland Athletics will have all the luster of any home-opening series, though it will probably pale in comparison to last year's where Target Field erupted with applause at a passing rain shower during the second game of the season. Nonetheless, outdoor baseball is back for year two at Target Field and I can't wait!

New York Yankees

The New York Yankees are back in town. Again. For the 4th time since 2003, the New York Yankees will face the Minnesota Twins in the American League Division Series Playoffs. It's no secret: the Bombers from New York have owned the Minnesota Twins since 2003. We have lost 3-1, 3-1, and 3-0 in the 3 playoff match-ups and haven't faired well in the regular season either. However, this year feels different. This is the first time we have had homefield advantage in the playoffs against the Evil Empire from New York. This is one of the deepest and most experienced teams we have fielded. This is our year. Purchase your Minnesota Twins playoffs tickets today!

Twins Tickets July Watch

All-Star Catcher Joe Mauer
Now that June is over, the month of July provides some key series at Target Field for the Minnesota Twins. The Twins don't play at home until after the All-Star break, starting on July 15. The Minnesota Twins will play the Chicago White Sox at Target Field from July 15 to July 18, followed by the Cleveland Indians from July 19 to 21. This will be 7 straight home games for the Twins.

From July 22 to July 28, the Minnesota Twins will be on the road at Baltimore and Kansas City. After a day off on July 29, the Seattle Mariners will be visiting Target Field on the weekend from July 30 to August 1. This makes 9 games at Target Field left in the month of July. July is a key month in baseball, as some teams make deals to acquire players and transitions to the second half of the season. Minnesota Twins will have two All-Star Starters on July 13, with catcher Joe Mauer and first basemen Justin Morneau. Outfielder Delmon Young still has a chance with the final All-Star vote, competing with four other players.

Twins Tickets June Update

I went to the Twins Braves game yesterday afternoon (June 13) and spent $35 a ticket for a ticket in the 200 level. That's not too bad, but I think Twins ticket prices were lower since the threat of rain was looming. It seems the weather is a big factor in Twins ticket prices. If the weather is warm and sunny, Twins ticket demand goes way up and so do the prices on the secondary market.

I see the Twins Rockies series (June 15-17) is starting at about $40 a ticket which is pretty reasonable considering the Colorado Rockies are kind of a big deal in Minnesota and we rarely play them. I love inter-league baseball match-ups and I am willing to pay a little extra to see a team I hardly ever see play in Minnesota plus make their first visit to Target Field.

The Twins Tigers series (June 28-30) is one of the most popular mid-week series of the year. Ticket brokers like Ticket King have very few tickets remaining and prices are higher than other non-weekend games. Remember, the Detroit Tigers will be back at Target Field August 31 through September 2nd...although I doubt Twins ticket prices will be any lower.

**If you go to a Twins game, COMMENT ME with how much you paid for Twins tickets and where you got them.** I know a lot of people would like to get to Target Field and I want my blog to be a helpful spot to find Minnesota Twins Tickets!

Twins Tickets Price watch... pay attention to which games you are purchasing Twins Tickets for!

I know it may seem like common sense to pay close attention to which Minnesota Twins game you are buying Twins Tickets for, but a lot of people just pick a random date and purchase tickets... my guess is that these people are not really baseball fans but rather just really enjoy Minnesota Twins Baseball.

HOWEVER, the risk with that is that by blindly picking a date and purchasing tickets without looking at other games you could be buying some of the most expensive Twins Tickets of the season. For example, in the month of May the Minnesota Twins Schedule includes a series against the Yankees and a series against the Brewers both of which are priced much higher than other Twins series.

So for all of you fans just looking to go to a game, pay attention to WHICH game you are buying for... although it is appealing to just pick a game based on a date you can go, do a little research. The difference in the price of Twins Tickets may be worth moving your schedule around for. To see ticket prices and awesome seats for all of the Twins Games at Target Field, check out Ticket King!

Cheap Minnesota Twins Tickets for week day games

With Minnesota Twins Tickets prices higher than they have been in the past, this season Minnesota Twins fans are going to have to start making choices to maximize the number of games they can go to without breaking the bank.

One way to stretch your Minnesota Twins Tickets Budget is to attend weekday games. The Minnesota Twins Schedule has LOTS of weekday games this year and Twins Tickets are considerably less expensive than night and weekend games. This morning I found Twins Tickets in the lower level for next weeks games against the Cleveland Indians for around $30. The other way to stretch your Ticket Budget is to buy your Twins Tickets early. A lot of ticket holders raise their prices as specific games get closer, if the Twins go on a hot streak, tickets become more expensive. My advice by the bulk of your Twins Tickets now, ticket prices are low and if you end up not being able to go to the game selling Target Field Tickets will not be a problem.

Having trouble justifying spendy Minnesota Twins Tickets, check out these pictures of Target Field and imagine yourself there!

I know that Minnesota Twins Tickets are pretty pricey for the Twins Exhibition Game and the 2010 inaugural Home Opener at Target Field. I personally am not sure I can justify over $200 Twins Tickets which is what you should plan on shelling out if you want to go to the 2010 Twins Home Opener against the Boston Red Sox.

With that said, a friend of mine shared these Target Field Pictures with me and I am now really struggling with buying Twins Tickets or not, because now I can totally see the view from the seats... Take a look yourself and see if these Target Field Pictures help you make up your mind if Twins Tickets to the Home Opener are worth it...

Minnesota Twins - Kansas City Roayls Series provide Cheap Twins Tickets

It's time to start thinking about Twins Home Series again (I know, where did the winter go?). One of the first Home Series for the Minnesota Twins is the Twins-Royals Series April 16th-April 18th. The Twins-Royals series is always a fan favorite due to the relative proximity of Kansas City and Minneapolis. However, due to the new Target Field and outdoor baseball and the variability of Twin Cities weather in April, the first Twins-Royals series has lots of cheap tickets left.

I found Twins Tickets starting at $15 for the 4/16-4/18 games. Be forewarned however, that if the weather ends up being nice during the series, the Cheap Twins Tickets will be scooped up fast. My suggestions, Buy Twins Tickets for the Twins-Royals series now... part of outdoor baseball is risking the weather!

Minnesota Twins Exhibition Game Tickets now on-sale

Justin Morneau at Spring Traning
The Minnesota Twins are batting, catching, and sliding their way through the 2010 Twins Spring Training, and initial reports say that the Minnesota Twins Roster is looking good... With a potential to be a strong contender this season for post-season action, the Minnesota Twins have become the team to talk about in the Twin Cities, meaning that Minnesota Twins Tickets are becoming harder and harder to find.

Currently, the hot buys in Twins Tickets are the Exhibition Games, both in Florida (what most Twins Fans think of as traditional Spring Training Games) and the two Exhibition Games at Target Field. New to Minnesota Twins Baseball this year are these added games, typically all spring exhibition games occur in Florida. However, due to the opening of Target Field and the HUGE demand for Target Field Tickets, the MN Twins decided to capitalize on the excitement of outdoor baseball in Minnesota and play two exhibition games in Minneapolis before the official Home Opener at Target Field.

These Twins Exhibition Game Tickets have been selling really well, though there are still some great premium Twins Tickets availiable, perhaps Twins Fans are hesitant to spend the money on pre-season games, but my advice is if you are thinking about investing in Twins Tickets, think about these games. The Twins Ticket prices are lower for these pre-season games and the seats available are often better. Be one of the first people to catch a glimpse at Target Field and all it has to offer!
