The 2011 Minnesota Twins Season is still 3 months away. However, with Minnesota TwinsFest, every fan will feel like the season has started. The event was moved to Blaine after the Metrodome's roof collapsed in Minneapolis. That didn't change any fans desires to attend the event. In fact, the team says that it has sold out the team's annual festival after capping the number of tickets at 25,000 because of the venue change. The team says it has never limited the number of tickets to TwinsFest before, but was compelled to do so because of the move to the Sports Center.
The event runs Friday, Jan. 28 to Sunday, Jan. 30. More than 60 current, former and future team players are expected to appear during the course of the weekend. TwinsFest is an annual fundraiser for the Minnesota Twins Community Fund. Keep your eyes pealed on Craigslist and Ebay if you are interested in repurchasing a Minnesota TwinsFest ticket.
